ACAMP recently formed The Advanced Systems for Transportation (AST) Consortium

This is a product development consortium enabling research and innovation in smart infrastructure and transportation markets. Collaboration among large Multi-National Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers to the transportation industry, Alberta small and medium-sized businesses, Alberta academic institutions, NASA and the Government of Alberta.
Alberta has the talent and strong technology foundation to participate in this rapidly growing sector through our developments of Intelligent Systems technologies throughout the province.
There are more than 50 Small to mid-size Alberta companies employing over 1,000 people in the area of Advanced Intelligent Systems, including leading-edge firms. This consortium will enable Alberta’s small to medium sized businesses diversify their product portfolio, increase their exports, as well as attract investments.
This technology collaboration will help Alberta businesses to enter and expand into the global advanced transportation and connected vehicle systems markets — which is estimated to grow from $2.4 billion in 2014 to $102 billion in 2030.
