ACAMP is the result of a collaborative effort between industry, government and academia, providing a path to commercialization for established firms, small start-up companies and researchers in the microsystems and nanotechnology (MNT) sector. ACAMP has been established as a not-for-profit company that provides support in three critical areas of commercialization: marketing and business development, product development and packaging and assembly.

ACAMP’s present funding of $24.3M comes from both federal and provincial governments through the departments of the Alberta Enterprise and Advanced Education ($12.7M) & Western Economic diversification Canada ($11.5M). The board of directors for ACAMP is made up of private sector leaders located throughout Alberta.
